The Family Reunion; Welcome Home
What does it truly mean to belong to a family? Pastor G takes that question far deeper than bloodlines or last names. We explore the radical idea that faith in Jesus Christ makes us genuinely, spiritually related to one another, drawing from Galatians 3 where Paul declares that through Christ there is no longer division among us, that we are all heirs to the same promise given to Abraham. That is not poetic language. It is a declaration of identity. And with that identity comes responsibility. We are challenged to examine whether we actually look like our Father, whether the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, are visible in how we carry ourselves, how we speak, and how we treat others. The striking insight here is that resemblance to God is not a matter of perfection but of transformation. When we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, we begin to reflect something that the world around us can actually see and recognize. That is what makes our witness credible. That is what makes our invitation to others meaningful. This is a message about becoming who we already are in Christ.
